PPing The Night Away (Post Production)
Sunday, August 17

Its been a while since my last post. Coming back down to reality hasn't exactly inspired me to update the world on my goings on. Ive been really pouring myself into producing some new work. These images are working versions of the shots I got in Europe. Sorry if it seems a bit redundant since I posted the earlier test shots. They are just now becoming my images though, not just scenes that I found. Tomorrow I'm shooting a new installment of the voice series, should be fun. I look forward to getting my new place so I can get started on some new constructions. Time to get back to photoshop, and my old favorite "high fidelity".

So Im back in Ottawa and Ive got a wonderful souvenir to mark my trip (special thanks to Gwen), The Croix Gardianne which is a symbol of the part of southern France I spent a week in and fell in love with. It represents love, charity and hope: But mostly its a reminder to myself to get out and fall in love with the world more often.
In other news I saw Gogol Bordello in Montreal yesterday, and I have to say best F-ing show...ever! So much fun... But now I'm back in Ottawa couch surfing and looking for work. Anyone who would like to help me out with the either of these things, please email me as I don't have a phone.
Last night in Paris
Saturday, August 2
Im afraid there is not much to write, Ive been pretty ill the past few days and haven't been up for much (Fish I tried to talk myself out of it but my body just wouldn't listen).
I look forward to seeing my girls in Montreal, and until Im back I love and miss all of you.
Thankyou Europe, and all the wonderful people Ive met.
Hope to see Europe again, sooner then later (if anyone has any leads about good european fine arts masters programs let me know).

Two more nights
Friday, August 1
My time here is almost through, its time to get home and get to work.
Ive seen some great shows lately: I went to an incredible Avedon retrospective. I went to a less impressive Leibewitz exhibit. I went to the natural history museum, which I fell in love with. They still have the browned hand written identification cards that have been there for a hundred years. They even had a section of "freaks", kitty cats and pigs and goats in jars with all kinds of deformities.
Tonight Im going to Sacre-Couer Cathedral to sit on the steps with a bottle of wine and watch the sun go down, if it doesnt rain.
